How does the M22 Laser work on scars?

The M22 Laser combines two complementary technologies that act on the superficial and deep layers of the skin:

  1. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) : Ideal for treating scars with irregular pigmentation (reddish or hyperpigmented). Pulsed light emits high-intensity pulses that target blood vessels and pigments, reducing redness and evening out the tone of the scar.
  2. ResurFX : This is a non-ablative fractional laser that works at the level of the deep dermis to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, which improves the structure of the skin. This laser creates micro-channels of heat in the dermis, triggering a regeneration process that softens the texture of the scar and better integrates it with the surrounding skin.

What Types of Scars Can Be Treated with the M22 Laser?

M22 is effective on different types of scars, including:

  • Acne Scars : Both depressed scars (atrophic scars) and more prominent ones (hypertrophic or keloid scars).
  • Surgical Scars : Scars resulting from surgical interventions that present irregular texture and abnormal pigmentation.
